The Sealed Book presents “Murderer Unknown,” episode 23, originally broadcast on August 19, 1945. In this Mutual Broadcasting System chiller, the Keeper of the Book is played by Philip Clarke.

A prosperous but unscrupulous businessman begins receiving black-bordered letters warning that his life is in danger. As the threats become more personal, wealth and influence prove scant protection against an unseen enemy. Written by Robert A. Arthur Jr. and David Kogan, the story was adapted from their earlier Mysterious Traveler tale.

Old Time Horror Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
