Americans own an estimated 393 million guns, making up 40% of the world's guns owned by civilians. When you pair that with the record high gun-related death toll that last year brought, I think we can all agree there is a correlated problem. Innocent people die everyday in relation to gun violence. It is heartbreaking to know that these deaths could be preventable with the correct action's by our leaders.
