Because Jack's got this self fulfilling death wish you see, the kind for being all gung-ho and balls out. You know, the rogue warrior daredevil type? Complete with a quick witted response and that silver tongued cheek, he's always ready to talk himself out from all kinds of bull-shit. But with all this said he is a damn good fighter pilot, in fact one of the best, I'd say! But when it comes down to just how the fuck he's managed to survive this far? I guess that'll all be down to good old lady luck. -- well so far, at least.
