Pollster Matt Towery joins Sean to challenge the conventional wisdom surrounding the midterm elections and discuss his new book, The Honoring of Ignorance: The Seven Mirages Destroying America. Towery explains why he believes traditional polling repeatedly underestimates Republican voters and argues that media coverage, polling, fact-checkers and academia can reinforce narratives that distort how Americans see politics and the economy. Sean and Towery also examine voter enthusiasm, the appeal of socialism to younger Americans and whether Republicans could still produce major surprises on Election Night.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
