A senior archivist is found dead inside a locked basement room at the city archives. No sign of forced entry. No obvious suspect. And on his desk: a restricted file collection tied to a decades-old warehouse fire that was never truly explained. As Detective Leonie Berg investigates, she uncovers missing records, buried witness statements, and a trail leading deep into the city’s political past. What begins as a strange locked-room mystery soon becomes a deadly conspiracy built on silence, corruption, and secrets that were never meant to survive. In this episode of Midnight Files, old files, hidden evidence, and one forgotten fire reveal that the truth can stay buried for years — but never forever.
