The descent into the Gutters is like walking into a grave. The clean air of the hills is replaced by a wall of stench and a deafening, chaotic roar. For a crew used to the wilderness, the claustrophobic alleys and crushing crowds are a new kind of hell. As one of them comes completely undone, buried alive by the suffocating press of humanity, Dray must find them shelter before the city swallows them whole. Their only hope is a grimy tavern called "The Crooked Keg."
