Are you ready for some football?

Whether you're a Sports fan or not, this episode will be of interest as we take a look at America's most legendary sportswriter Grantland Rice and his friendship with legendary Notre Dama Football Coach Knute Rockne. We also take a look at how he turned one particular Notre Dama backfield into "The Four Horsemen."

This is an episode of The Grantland Rice Story. It aired originally in the fall of 1955 into 1956. The series is hosted by Jimmy Powers who reads excerpts from Rice's autobiography, The Tumult and the Shouting. And on this episode, Powers has a very special guest.
