Pl: Na ulicach tętniącej życiem Warszawy, pomiędzy błyszczącymi biurowcami i klimatycznymi kamienicami, rozgniewana chmurka nad głową Karoliny wydawała się być jedynym znakiem burzy.
En: On the bustling streets of Warsaw, between the shining office buildings and charming tenement houses, an angry little cloud above Karolina's head seemed to be the only sign of a storm.

Pl: Młoda kobieta spojrzała z niedowierzaniem na podany jej talerz w restauracji.
En: The young woman looked in disbelief at the plate placed in front of her at the restaurant.

Pl: To miała być lekka kolacja, a przed nią leżało dyskretne morze pierogów.
En: It was supposed to be a light dinner, yet in front of her lay a discreet sea of dumplings.

Pl: Karolina, spontaniczna miłośniczka kuchni regionalnej, po wielu dniach spędzonych na szukaniu idealnej pierogarni, dotarła do miejsca, które wydawało się spełniać wszystkie jej wymagania, tradycyjna polska restauracja "Pod Zielonym Liściem".

Pl: Odczuwała wstyd, widząc zaskoczone spojrzenia innych gości.

Pl: "Nie mogę tutaj siedzieć i po prostu marnować jedzenia!

Pl: Nabrała powietrza w płuca i spojrzała odważnie na talerz.
En: She took a deep breath and bravely looked at the plate.

Pl: Zacisnęła zęby i podjęła decyzję - zje te pierogi.

Pl: Za pierwszymi pięcioma szło jej dość dobrze.
En: The first five went down quite well.

Pl: Szybko się jednak okazało, że w małych pierogach jest zaskakująco dużo treści.
En: However, it quickly became apparent that there was surprisingly a lot in those small dumplings.

Pl: Po zjedzeniu szóstego, jej apetyt zniknął.
En: After eating the sixth one, her appetite disappeared.

Pl: Osiem - to już było przekroczenie granicy.
En: Eight - that was crossing the line.

Pl: I to dosłownie, ponieważ przestała już nawet czuć smak.
En: And quite literally, as she couldn't even taste anything anymore.

Pl: W końcu, z lekko załamanym duchem, poczuła, że nie jest w stanie zjeść ani jednego pieroga więcej.
En: Finally, with a slightly downtrodden spirit, she felt that she couldn't eat even one more dumpling.

Pl: Z osiemdziesięciu procent pierogów na talerzu spadło do dwudziestu, ale Karolina czuła, że nie jest w stanie zjeść ani jednego więcej, nawet gdyby to miało oznaczać końca świata.
En: From eighty percent of dumplings on the plate, it had dwindled down to twenty, but Karolina felt she couldn't eat even one more, even if it meant the end of the world.
