What happens after heartbreak—but before you’re ready to fall in love again?

For pop-dance duo CX2 Ryder, that emotional space became “Heal on the Dance Floor,” a retro-inspired dance record blending ’70s influence, ’80s energy, and modern synth-pop around the idea that sometimes healing begins by allowing yourself to experience joy again.

On this episode of Vigilantes Radio Live, Coach Dini sits down with real-life couple and creative partners Ryder West and CX2 for a deeper conversation about love, collaboration, representation, healing, and what happens when two very different creative voices have to become one without losing what makes either of them unique.

The duo opens up about turning their relationship into music, navigating creative disagreements with the person they love, becoming the representation they wished they’d seen growing up, and the responsibility of showing possibility without pretending relationships are perfect.

They also unpack the meaning behind “Heal on the Dance Floor,” their growing radio success following “Connection,” and their ambitious 2027 debut album Connection—an eight-track concept project featuring one song representing each year of their life together.

From chart positions to genuine connection, this conversation asks an important question:
Can you acknowledge what hurt you without allowing it to steal the joy that’s still waiting for you?
