I'm going to brag for a second. I hear a lot of records and I work with a lot of different promotional companies where I get access to music that most of you will never hear. Some of it is awesome. Some of it is not my thing, and some of it is pure in a way that can't be explained.

I've heard the new record by Starless, and it falls squarely in the last category. Sure, there are hints of things we've heard in the past, but the band doesn't rest on the laurels of its clear influences. Instead, it twists and turns and pulls and evokes something so clearly powerful and spiritual that there's no way you can deny it.

I will tell you that their new record is an absolute 100% must buy for any discriminating listener who is seeking to not only have their mind blown but be taken to a new planet that doesn't care about you, because it drops you off by yourself, where it mesmerizes you so you forget where you are, where it ultimately destroys you while you sleep.

The word special is an understatement.

This is my curious conversation with the entire band, the Chicago based Starless, on the Rockstar Superhero Podcast.
