The Anxious Leaf is a short story about a little leaf who weeps when the wind warns that one day it will be torn from its twig. The tree sends back a quiet promise, and the leaf learns to dance again through the summer. Then October arrives, and the leaves around it begin glowing scarlet and gold. As the little leaf wonders what the colours mean, its fear begins to change into something unexpected.
