Story Transcript:

Cy: Roedd un bore braf, yn y pentref hiraf yn y byd, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, lle roedd pawb yn nabod ei gilydd, a'r awyr bob amser yn glir a'r cymoedd yn wyrdd.
En: It was a lovely morning in the longest village in the world, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, where everyone knew each other, the sky was always clear, and the valleys were green.

Cy: Roedd Ieuan yn cerdded lawr y stryd gyda chynllun mawr yn ei ben.
En: Ieuan was walking down the street with a big plan in his head.

Cy: Roedd eisiau trefnu parti mawr i'r pentref gyda'r cawl gorau erioed.
En: He wanted to organize a big party for the village with the best stew ever.

Cy: Bu Ieuan yn trafod â'r coginiwr, Dafydd, yn ôl yr siop fwyd lleol, sut i wneud hyn.
En: Ieuan discussed with the cook, Dafydd, behind the local food shop, how to do this.

Cy: Sut mae mesur cawl am bobl cymaint?
En: How do you measure stew for so many people?

Cy: Wnaeth Ieuan ffigurau a chyfrifau, ond yn ei gyffro, wnaeth gamgymeriad enfawr.
En: Ieuan made figures and calculations, but in his excitement, he made a huge mistake.

Cy: Yn lle archebu digon ar gyfer y gymuned, wnaeth archebu gormod – digon i lenwi pwll nofio!
En: Instead of ordering enough for the community, he ordered too much–enough to fill a swimming pool!

Cy: Pan ddaeth yr haul uchel dros y pentref, cyrraeddodd troli mawr llawn o bowleni o gawl - cawl cig oen meddal, lledaeniad cennin blasus, a thatws malwod yn suddo yn y brotiau trwchus.
En: When the high sun came over the village, a large trolley arrived full of bowls of stew - tender lamb stew, the spread of tasty leeks, and chunks of tender potatoes sinking in the hearty broth.

Cy: Sylweddolodd Ieuan ei wall ac roedd ofn mawr arno.
En: Ieuan realized his mistake and was very afraid.

Cy: Beth i'w wneud gyda chymaint o gawl?
En: What to do with so much stew?

Cy: Dyma pryd yr ymddangosodd Eira, ffrind Ieuan a'r un callaf yn y pentref.
En: That's when Eira, Ieuan's cleverest friend in the village, appeared.

Cy: "Rhaid rhannu'r cawl â phawb," meddai hi.
En: "We have to share the stew with everyone," she said.

Cy: "Felly, gadewch i ni wahodd pawb i'w flasu!
En: "So, let's invite everyone to have a taste!"

Cy: "Ar ôl rhai oriau o ledaenu'r newyddion, roedd bron â hanner y pentref yng nghanol y bwrlwm.
En: After a few hours of spreading the news, almost half the village was in the middle of the hustle and bustle.

Cy: Roedd plant yn chwarae, oedolion yn siarad, a phawb yn cymysgu'n hapus dan awyr las Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.
En: Children were playing, adults were chatting, and everyone was mixing happily under the blue sky of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.

Cy: Gŵyl y Cawl oedd hi yn awr, a phob un yn mwynhau.
En: It was now the Stew Festival, and everyone was enjoying it.

Cy: Roedd Dafydd yn chwerthin wrth weini cawl i bawb, a Eira yn dosbarthu bara ffres i fynd gyda'r cawl.
En: Dafydd laughed while serving stew to everyone, and Eira distributed fresh bread to go with the stew.

Cy: Ieuan, yn llawn pryder yn gyntaf, bellach yn llawn balchder wrth weld ei gymuned yn uno oherwydd ei gamgymeriad.
En: Ieuan, full of worry at first, was now full of pride seeing his community unite because of his big mistake.

Cy: Wrth iddi nosi, a'r lleuad yn codi dros y pentref hir, roedd pawb yn llawn ac yn hapus.
En: As it got late, and the moon rose over the long village, everyone was full and happy.

Cy: Roedd y cawl priodol wedi mynd, ac roedd pob bowlen yn wag.
En: The appropriate stew had gone, and every bowl was empty.

Cy: Cerddodd Ieuan adref, ei galon yn llawn cariad at ei gymuned a'i bol yn llawn o gawl.
En: Ieuan walked home, his heart full of love for his community and his belly full of stew.

Cy: A dyna sut daeth parti heb ei gynllunio yn ŵyl i’r pentref cyfan, yng ngogoniant hirfryn Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, lle mae hyd yn oed y camgymeriadau mwyaf yn gallu troi'n rhywbeth hudolus.
En: And that's how an unplanned party became a festival for the entire village, in the long-lasting splendor of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, where even the biggest mistakes can turn into something magical.
