I hope my family can learn this soon! I’ve had arguments of sorts with my mom off and on since I was 12 because my whole life it seems I’m trying to reduce the amount of stuff I had but am repeatedly told I can not give things away (when under 18) and must not (as an adult) and now you’ll need it again. I can’t wrap my mind around needing more than enough clothes to be both warm and clean, a few dishes and pots to facilitate healthy eating and a structure that can be keep warmer than 55 degrees in winter to prevent freezing. I could fit everything I need in my corolla but I showed up like that my parents would be so unhappy with my “irresponsibility” or “recklessness”.
