A very successful businessman in his own right outside of boxing, Steve Goodwin had no intention or ambition to become a boxing promoter until his teenage daughter who was ill with cancer asked for his promise that upon her recovery they would promote a show together. Since that first show he has went on to manage a host of champions from area right up to world title level. Known as the honest man of boxing this is Mr Goodwin in his own words.
