Source Material #278 - SBTU - Captain Confederacy (Steel Dragon Press, 1986)

It is time for the SUPER BLOG TEAM UP!!

What can you expect with this round of the SBTU? Actually you get a bit more variety as our participants are divided into 2 teams, Team Gold and Team Red each covering different subject matter. Team Gold will be tackling the subject of “What If?” while Team Red examines the creators of certain properties. All the links to each participant will be listed in the show notes below and you can also check out everyone’s hard work by just typing #SBTU into twitter!

And what does Source Material bring to the dance? Jesse, Mark, and Chris discuss the 12 issue first volume of “Captain Confederacy” from Steel Dragon Press!

If you're like me and you have never heard of "Captain Confederacy," seeing the cover to this 1986 comic for the first time, you may have made a few assumptions. I can't blame you. It is in our nature to react to what we are seeing with our eyes due to the context of previous experiences.

I ask you to listen to this podcast and learn about Jeremy Gray and his role as Captain Confederacy, a hero in the 1980's, in a timeline where the South had won the Civil War. It is important to remember to not judge a book by its cover.
