Sky burial is a traditional funeral method for Tibetans. After death, people take their bodies to designated places for vultures to swallow. In essence, it is a social and cultural phenomenon, a belief and a way to express condolences to the dead. The core of celestial burial is the immortality of the soul and its cycle, and death is only the separation of the immortal soul from the old body.
