Story Transcript:

Cy: Ar fore braf ynghanol haf, yn y parc cenedlaethol hardd sy'n cuddio o dan gysgod y Wyddfa, roedd Rhys yn penderfynu taw heddiw fyddai'r diwrnod y byddai'n dweud wrth Eleri am ei deimladau tuag ati.
En: One fine morning in the middle of summer, in the beautiful national park nestled beneath the shadow of Snowdon, Rhys decided that today would be the day he would tell Eleri about his feelings for her.

Cy: Roedd Eleri'n ferch brydferth, yn llawn cariad at ei chymuned a'i hardal, ac yn hoff iawn o farddoniaeth Gymraeg.
En: Eleri was a beautiful, loving daughter of her community and region, and she was very fond of Welsh poetry.

Cy: Rhys, wedi'i gyffroi ond wrth ei fodd o boenus, aeth â'i gerddi gorau i Ddylan, ei ffrind gorau, i ofyn am gyngor.
En: Excited but nervous, Rhys brought his best poems to Dylan, his best friend, to ask for advice.

Cy: Dylan, sydd bob amser yn llawn syniadau digri, awgrymodd y byddai'n braf os byddai Rhys yn perfformio ei gerddi ynghanol y pentref, lle mae pobl yn casglu ar ddyddiau Sul i fwynhau'r haul a'r awyr iach.
En: Dylan, always full of funny ideas, suggested that it would be nice if Rhys performed his poems in the middle of the village, where people gather on Sundays to enjoy the sun and fresh air.

Cy: Meddwl am y sefyllfa hon, penderfynodd Rhys y byddai'n perfformio ger y ffynnon, lle mae dŵr pur yn llifo a choed hynafol yn sefyll yn falch.
En: Thinking about this situation, Rhys decided he would perform at the spring's mound, where pure water flows and ancient trees stand proudly.

Cy: Beth na wnaeth Rhys ei sylwi, oedd bod y defaid o'i gwmpas yn dechrau ymgasglu yn chwilfrydig pan ddechreuodd adrodd ei gerddi.
En: What Rhys did not notice was that the sheep around him began to gather curiously as he began to recite his poems.

Cy: Cyn i Rhys ddieithryn, roedd torf o ddefaid wedi trefnu'u hunain y tu ôl iddo, yn dilyn pob symudiad a phob gair â diddordeb.
En: Before Rhys knew it, a crowd of sheep had positioned itself behind him, following his every move and every word with interest.

Cy: Rhys, rhyfedd fel roedd, dechreuodd gerdded wrth adrodd, a'r defaid yn parhau i'w ddilyn, fel pe bai ganddo rywbeth hudol yn eu perswadio.
En: Strangely, Rhys began to walk as he recited, and the sheep continued to follow him, as if he had something magical to persuade them.

Cy: Eleri, a gyrraedd y pentref o'r diwedd, a welodd y golygfa ryfedd o Rhys yn arwain gorymdaith anarferol o ddefaid.
En: Eleri, who finally arrived in the village, saw the strange sight of Rhys leading an unusual procession of sheep.

Cy: Yn lle ymateb gyda'r syndod disgwyliedig, dechreuodd hi chwerthin, a hi yn gweld y parodrwydd a'r hyfrydwch yn llygaid Rhys.
En: Instead of reacting with expected surprise, she began to laugh, seeing the readiness and joy in Rhys's eyes.

Cy: Wedi sefydlu ei hun fel y "bardd bugail" am y dydd, daeth Rhys i sylweddoli nad oedd angen sgiliau barddoniaeth i ennill calon ei Eleri; roedd ei wên a'i personoliaeth ddihafal yn ddigon.
En: Establishing himself as the "shepherd poet" for the day, Rhys realized that he didn't need poetry skills to win Eleri's heart; his smile and endless personality were enough.

Cy: Yn y diwedd, fe wnaeth hi dynnu ato, gan ddweud "Tyrd, Rhys, gad inni reoli'r gŵyl hon gyda'i gilydd."
En: In the end, she approached him, saying, "Come on, Rhys, let's enjoy this festival together."

Cy: Gyda'r pentref i gyd yn gwenu a chwerthin, daeth y "orymdaith ddafad" yn hanesyn poblogaidd yn Eryri, a thros amser, daeth Rhys a Eleri'n enw am eu cariad cryf a'u gallu i ddod â chymuned ynghyd - hyd yn oed heb gerddi.
En: With the whole village smiling and laughing, the "sheep procession" became a popular tale in Snowdonia, and over time, Rhys and Eleri became known for their strong love and their ability to bring the community together - even without poems.
