Join us on a voyage through the heart of Charles Dickens’ timeless masterpiece, "A Christmas Carol," as we excavate the deep-seated Christian themes and social commentary woven into the fabric of the tale. Our guide for this journey is none other than Reverend Cheryl Kincaid, a seasoned Presbyterian minister and author with a compelling story of transformation borne out of an abusive past into a beacon of faith. The Reverend offers a unique perspective, making connections between Dickens' childhood experiences of poverty and the vivid scenes of hardship in his writings.

Dickens’ own encounters with the underbelly of society profoundly influenced his work, and as we explore that together, we help to shed light on the powerful messages of repentance and redemption hidden within the tale of Scrooge. We take the conversation further, drawing insightful parallels from Dickens' era to our current social issues. Reverend Kincaid also shares her thoughts on the impactful role of female preachers in the Christian faith, an often overlooked aspect of religious history.

In our final act, we turn our attention to the profound influence of God's touch, as recounted by Reverend Kincaid and other individuals who have experienced this divine intervention. We end our journey by pondering upon the timeless relevance of "A Christmas Carol," and how its lessons on repentance, redemption and social justice continue to echo in our present-day context. Join us, as we delve deep into the core of Dickens' enduring masterpiece and explore how its messages continue to resonate today.
