Immerse yourself in this captivating escapist novel, first published in 1905 as Lieutenant Gullivar Jones His Vacation. Follow the daring yet somewhat clumsy American Navy Lieutenant Gulliver Jones as he is magically whisked away to Mars. In this fantastical realm, he finds himself in a series of thrilling escapades where he nearly outsmarts his foes, almost wins the heart of the girl, and comes close to becoming the hero of the day. Serving as a fascinating literary bridge between the works of H.G. Wells and Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jones adventures blend sharp satire with exhilarating sword-and-planet excitement.
