Before clocks nagged us, the sun simply showed the time and asked nothing back. Reading The Sundial is a half hour of old, slow timekeeping: settle into the light, speak thirty unhurried vows about patience, presence, and letting the day be the size it actually is. Shadows move whether you watch or not — you may as well watch.

Press play and stand in the sun a while. If this one slowed you kindly, follow Daily Affirmations so tomorrow's episode finds you, and share it with someone racing their own clock.
