On this episode of Middle Age Movie Reviews the guys are back on the Halloween Horror month as they discuss the 1982 Steven Spielberg / Tobe Hopper joint film Poltergeist. The guys discuss the films similarity to the other 1982 Spielberg film E.T.
Matt does his best Southern impression as he attempts to give us the synopsis like Tangina the medium. Rick gives us an interesting alternate title to the film and the guys agree that it's a fun addition.
As we delve into the story and plot Tim throws out a couple of quizzes for his younger cohorts. As all things lead back to Star Wars we learn about the 18 items that are in Poltergeist that lead back to Star Wars.
Rick also tells us a little bit about the history and real life curse to this films production.
Everything from the eldest daughters death shortly after the films debut, The Super Bowl poster on the young boys wall, and the animatronics going wrong with the clown puppet.
Finally the guys discuss this films rating on IMDB and how it rates on their own personal DeathClocks.
