Bill welcomes Kevn VanValkenburgh from the Little Speed Shop to the pod along with Kevin Muir and Dan Borello. There has been a lot of passionate talk about electric cars on the pod lately, so Bill asks Kevin VanValkenburgh his thoughts on them, Kevin had a Tesla for a while and his response is insightful. While the podcast was being recorded word came of the passing of legendary college basketball coach Bobby Knight’s passing. Dan instantly had a parody song ready! Dan tells a story where Bob Knight shared credit with someone for a winning game plan and who it is may surprise you! Laura McKenney joins the pod, she is a professional organizer. She shares stories about how she helps her clients with different things like furniture assembly, moving, downsizing, organizing closets, cabinets and garages. She gives tips on how to de-clutter, how to make room for new items that will be coming in over the holidays. Laura explains that her job is a lot of hand holding and therapy sessions. Bill plays the band Tesla and says he will argue forever that they are NOT a hair band! It comes up that Laura was planning to have a 3rd date with a guy at one of Bill’s boxing classes, but things just did not work out! Bill goes through the documented news pieces showing a pattern of racism in Pittsford, he even adds things he experienced while living their. Then talks about Patrick Dai, a 2020 Pittsford Mendon graduate now a junior at Cornell who has been arrested for making violent threats on line against Jewish students. Dai’s father has said he believes he is innocent, despite Dai having admitted to making the threats. However, Dai has been living with severe depression. Bill feels bad for the Dai family and what they are living with now. Bill plays a news report from FOX news about the incident that's making national headlines and he focuses on what one professor in the news package brings up, a hyper focus on race, could that be making situations worse? Dan thinks this is true and makes clais about a course he was required to take at St. John Fisher University, which is greatly disappointing for Bill to hear. To prove that Pittsford is not the only Rochester Suburb with race problems, Bill plays Name that Racisit Suburb with news stories from Greater Rochester suburbs and everyone guesses what the ‘burb is!
