- Decide on a cue that will prompt your brain that it’s time to begin your routine. This cue can be anything, from verbal to visual triggers – what matters is that it works for you.
- Now beginning your routine, a physical pre-performance routine can involve triggers like stomping your feet or snapping your fingers.
- Incorporating visualisation into your mental routing is an effective way to never lose sight of your goals.
- Finally, a verbal routine consists of saying things like “you got this” or reciting a poem or song lyrics.
