This video provides an overview of open and closed feeding systems for enteral nutrition.
It begins with a definition of each feeding system, and then explores the possible advantages and disadvantages of them.
Simply put, an open system is when formula is poured out of the container before it is infused.
A closed system is when the formula is infused directly from the container.
