NOTHING TO HIDE

Psalm 139:23–24
“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Yesterday we talked about living with nothing to prove. We don’t have to spend our lives trying to convince everybody that we are good enough, strong enough, spiritual enough, or worthy enough. When we know who we are in Christ, we can stop performing for people.

But there is another side to that truth.

We may have nothing to prove, but we should also have nothing to hide.

David prayed, “Search me, O God, and know my heart.” That is a courageous prayer because David was inviting God into the places that most of us would rather keep locked.

The truth is, God already knows what is there.
