Jess Byard July, this year all about surrealist films, kicks off with the first film from Stephen Sayadian, and the first adult film ever covered on the show. Written and produced by Sayadian, credited as Rinse Dream, with Jerry Stahl, and directed by Francis Delia, Nightdreams stars Dorothy LeMay as Mrs. Van Houten, a woman observed by two scientists as they probe her dreams, which spiral into hallucinatory and deeply surreal fantasies. Playboy called it the first avant-garde adult film, and its soundtrack features Wall of Voodoo. Heather Drain of Mondo Heather joins the show to talk Sayadian's career, Wall of Voodoo's musical contributions, and that Cream of Wheat scene.
Heather Drain of Mondo Heather joins Chris Stachiw, the Doctor of Podcasting, to talk Stephen Sayadian, Wall of Voodoo, surrealism, and so much more.
