Sk: V srdci Bratislavy, na živom Hlavnom námestí, ktoré býva plné stánkov a ľudí, sa odohral neobyčajný príbeh.
En: In the heart of Bratislava, in the lively Main Square, which is usually full of stalls and people, an extraordinary story unfolded.
Sk: Jedného jasného rána, keď slnko len len vykukovalo na oblohu a námestie sa pomaly prebúdzalo do nového dňa plného obchodu a zhonu, Matej sa prechádzal medzi stánkami.
En: One clear morning, when the sun was just peeking out and the square was slowly waking up to a new day of hustle and bustle, Matej was walking among the stalls.
Sk: Mal rád tú vôňu čerstvého pečiva a zvuky mestského ruchu.
En: He enjoyed the smell of fresh bread and the sounds of the city.

En: When Marta returned for Janko, she noticed Matej trying to capture her hedgehog.
Sk: Priskákala k nim so slovami: "Počkajte, to nie je mačka, to je môj ježko Janko!
En: She hurried over to them, saying, "Wait, that's not a cat, that's my hedgehog Janko!"
Sk: "Matej sa zľakol a pozrel sa na zvieratko v jeho rukách, ktoré jemne šušťalo špicatými bodliakmi.
