Michael Schenker Group (MSG) make their long awaited return to celebrate the main members 40th anniversary as a solo artist and 50th anniversary as a musician.
Making his name with bands like Scorpions and UFO, Schenker elected to form his own project in the early 80’s and hasn’t looked back since, firt with MSG and then under the guise of Michael Schenker Fest (MSF).
After two successful albums as MSF Schenker has resurrected the more popular incarnation with the aptly titled Immortal, featuring vocal guest roles by Ronnie Romero (Rainbow), Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), Joe Lynn Turner (ex-Deep Purple) as well as Schenker’s brother in arms, Michael Voss (Mad Max) who again produced the record alongside Schenker.
Schenker joined HEAVY for a chat about the album and his illustrious career earlier this week.
