Today, we're seeing some strong easterly winds sweeping through the region as a high-pressure system takes center stage. This means we can expect some serious breezes out there, with speeds picking up to 20 to 25 knots, gusting up to 30 knots along the Gulf coastal waters.

For those braving the high seas, hold onto your anchors! The Gulf Stream is showing its wild side with seas building up to 8 to 10 feet on Sunday. It's a good time to secure any loose belongings on deck and maybe wait for smoother sailing conditions.

If you're planning a fishing trip or a leisurely cruise along the coast, make sure you're prepared for choppy conditions. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through Sunday morning, with waves reaching up to 7 feet near the coast and 9 feet further out to sea. As we head into the new week, the winds will ease off slightly, dropping to 15 to 20 knots with gusts reaching 25 knots. This will bring some relief to those braving the waters, with seas calming down to 3 to 5 feet by Monday and Tuesday.
