Good morning, water lovers of Florida! It's time for your coastal waters forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Miami. I'm here to keep you informed and entertained with the latest updates for your aquatic adventures.

For our friends along the Atlantic coast from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef and the Gulf coast from East Cape Sable to Bonita Beach, we're looking at a mix of gentle to moderate easterly winds throughout today. However, be prepared for increasing easterly flow as we head into the weekend, thanks to strong high pressure building southward. This could mean some hazardous marine conditions on the horizon, so stay safe out there.

The Gulf Stream is currently behaving itself with no hazards to report. And just for your navigational knowledge, as of yesterday, the west wall of the Gulf Stream was located at varying distances from Port Everglades, Lake Worth, and Jupiter Inlet.

Now, for our boaters closer to shore from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach and beyond, small craft should exercise caution with east to northeast winds in the range of 15 to 25 knots today, potentially gusting up to 35 knots by Saturday. Seas are expected to be in the range of 2 to 4 feet, occasionally reaching up to 9 feet in some areas. So, make sure your vessels are secure and hang on tight!

For our fellow water enthusiasts from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef, similar conditions are expected with some slight variations, so keep a keen eye on those changing winds and wave heights.

And finally, for the sailors and fishermen near Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach, anticipate mild winds becoming a bit brisker today, especially offshore. Seas will be relatively calm near shore but could build up to 6 feet or more further out.

Whether you're fishing, sailing, or just enjoying a day out on the water, be sure to stay informed and keep an eye on changing conditions. And remember, safety first! For more detailed information, check out the link in our show notes.

Thank you for listening and make sure to subscribe to never miss an update. Happy sailing, Florida!
