Story Transcript:

Ga: Lá breá gréine a bhí ann i gCúige Mumhan.
En: It was a beautiful sunny day in the province of Munster.

Ga: Bhí triúr cairde, Siobhán, Seán agus Caoimhe, ag siúl ar bhóithre cúnga i ndeisceart na hÉireann, agus iad ar thóir eachtraíochta.
En: Three friends, Siobhán, Seán, and Caoimhe, were walking on country roads in the south of Ireland, seeking adventure.

Ga: Fad is a bhí siad ag siúl, chonaic siad sraith de chomharthaí bóthair ag treorú i dtreo Chloch mór cáiliúil - Cloch na Blarnan.
En: As they walked, they saw a series of road signs pointing towards a famous large stone - Cloch na Blarnan.

Ga: Nuair a shroich siad an áit a raibh an cloch, bhí neart turasóirí timpeall.
En: When they reached the place where the stone was, there were plenty of tourists around.

Ga: D'fhéach Siobhán timpeall go fonnmhar, súile oscailte ar leithead.
En: Siobhán looked around eagerly, her eyes wide open.

Ga: Bhí sí lán le scéaltaí faoin gcloch iontach seo.
En: She was full of stories about this amazing stone.

Ga: Bhí sí cinnte go mbeadh lá draíochta acu.
En: She was sure they would have a magical day.

Ga: I measc na slua, bhí fear beag le hata glas agus bróga snasta le buclaí.
En: Among the crowd was a little man wearing a green hat and neat buckled shoes.

Ga: Bhí a fhéasóg fada, agus é ag caint le gach duine go cairdiúil.
En: His beard was long, and he was talking to everyone in a friendly manner.

Ga: Nuair a chonaic Siobhán an fear, léim a croí.
En: When Siobhán saw the man, her heart leaped.

Ga: Seán, Caoimhe, an bhfeiceann sibh an fear sin?
En: Seán, Caoimhe, do you see that man?

Ga: An bhfuil sé... an bhfuil sé ina leipreachán?
En: Is he... is he a leprechaun?

Ga: D'fhéach Seán agus Caoimhe ar an bhfear agus rinne siad gáire.
En: Seán and Caoimhe looked at the man and laughed.

Ga: Ní hea, Siobhán, ní leipreachán é sin,
En: No, Siobhán, that's not a leprechaun,

Ga: arsa Seán. Ach níor chreid Siobhán é.
En: said Seán. But Siobhán didn't believe it.

Ga: Chuaigh sí in aice leis an bhfear agus dúirt, Dia dhuit, a fhir bheag, an bhfuil tú in do leipreachán na ndánta agus na scéalta?
En: She approached the man and said, Hello, little man, are you the leprechaun of the poems and stories?

Ga: Bhí an fear beag carthanach ina chaint agus rinne sé gáire.
En: The kind man chuckled as he spoke.

Ga: Ní leipreachán mise, a iníon,
En: I'm not a leprechaun, my dear,

Ga: ar sé. Ach is mise a bhfuil an t-ádh orm ag obair anseo, ag insint scéalta faoi Chloch na Blarnan!
En: he said. But I'm the lucky one working here, telling stories about Cloch na Blarnan!

Ga: Bhraith Siobhán náire beag ach rinne sí gáire freisin.
En: Siobhán felt a little embarrassed but also laughed.

Ga: Ansin phioc Seán suas culaith bheag glas a bhí ina luí ar an talamh.
En: Then Seán picked up a small green suit lying on the ground.

Ga: Féach ar seo, Siobhán!
En: Look at this, Siobhán!

Ga: ar sé. Más é do thoil é, b'fhéidir gur mise an leipreachán fíor!
En: he said. If you please, maybe I am the real leprechaun!

Ga: Bhain an triúr cairde sult as an magadh agus na spórt, ach d'fhan an ceist mhór - an bhféadfadh duine acu an chloch a phógadh agus an bronntanas na labhartha a fháil.
En: The three friends enjoyed the joke and the fun, but the big question remained - could any of them kiss the stone and receive the gift of speech.

Ga: Ar deireadh, chríochnaigh an tríú cairde scéal an lae sin le póg ar Chloch na Blarnan.
En: In the end, the three friends ended that day's story with a kiss on Cloch na Blarnan.

Ga: Fuair siad an cumas labhartha, ach fuair siad rud níos tábhachtaí fós - cuimhne láidir dheas le chéile.
En: They gained the ability to speak, but they found something even more important - a strong and beautiful memory together.

Ga: Thug an eachtra seo gáire agus grámharaíocht dóibh, agus i ndeireadh na dála, thuig Siobhán nach gá leipreacháin a bheith ann chun draíocht a fháil - bhí draíocht cheana féin ina gcroíthe, draíocht a dtagann ó chairdeas fíor.
En: This adventure brought laughter and love to them, and in the end, Siobhán realized that leprechauns weren't necessary to find magic - they already had magic in their hearts, magic that comes from true friendship.
