Story Transcript:

Fr: Un jour d'été à Paris, alors que le ciel était d'un bleu clair, deux amis, Marie et Nicolas, décident d'emprunter le métro pour se rendre à un rendez-vous.
En: One summer day in Paris, as the sky was a clear blue, two friends, Marie and Nicolas, decided to take the metro to go to a meeting.

Fr: Marie, avec sa robe à fleurs et son sourire contagieux, tenait fermement la main de Nicolas, un jeune homme aux yeux pétillants de malice.
En: Marie, with her flower dress and contagious smile, firmly held Nicolas's hand, a young man with mischievous sparkling eyes.

Fr: À eux deux, ils formaient un duo inséparable.
En: Together, they formed an inseparable duo.

Fr: Mais voilà, il y avait un hic.

Fr: À leur grande surprise, ils se retrouvent devant le Moulin Rouge, où des danseuses vêtues de plumes et de paillettes s'agitent sur la scène.

Fr: "Ce n'est pas la Tour Eiffel, ça!

Fr: Nicolas hoche la tête, une expression de consternation sur son visage.

Fr: Après avoir passé du temps à admirer le spectacle, ils reprennent leur chemin.
En: After spending some time admiring the show, they continued on their way.

Fr: Mais bien sûr, au lieu de prendre le bon train, ils se perdent dans les tunnels et se retrouvent à Montmartre.
En: But of course, instead of taking the right train, they got lost in the tunnels and ended up in Montmartre.

Fr: Là, ils passent un bon moment à regarder les artistes peindre sur la place du Tertre.
En: There, they had a good time watching artists painting in the Place du Tertre.

Fr: "Peut-être que si nous demandons à cet artiste, il pourra nous montrer le chemin", suggère Nicolas.
En: "Maybe if we ask this artist, he can show us the way," suggested Nicolas.

Fr: L'artiste, un vieil homme aux cheveux ébouriffés, leur donne des directions détaillées.
