Kraftwerk — The Robots

What if a song about robots was already imagining our relationship with technology back in 1978?

Kraftwerk's “The Robots” came from a time when electronic music still sounded strange and futuristic. With mechanical rhythms, processed vocals, and a completely different visual identity, the German group created a sound that seemed to come from another era.

But decades later, their questions about humans, machines, and technology feel more relevant than ever. Was Kraftwerk simply making futuristic music—or were they imagining the world we live in today?

There's much more behind the story, the music, and Kraftwerk's influence on electronic music.
