Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser, giornalista folk tedesco, divenne una figura chiave nell'underground musicale.
Alla Ohr Records, con Amon Duul I come produttori, lanciò "Paradieswarts Düül", manifesto della musica cosmica.
Con la Pilz, promosse il folk cosmico, includendo Witthuser e Westrupp. Con i Popol Vuh, influenzò il krautrock.
Uwe Nettlebeck fece lo stesso con i Faust, trasformando il rock tedesco. Questi visionari plasmarono il krautrock in un movimento musicale avanguardistico.
Nel 1977, David Bowie, attratto da questa scena, registrò a Berlino con Brian Eno, abbracciando l'innovazione e l'ispirazione krautrock.
