We had the pleasure of interviewing ELLISE over Zoom video!

Coined the “dark pop princess,” independent singer, songwriter, and producer Ellise is now “entering her villain era” as she is slated to release an exciting rollout of all-new music in 2023, beginning with her new single, “Pretty In The Dark,” alongside pop artist Ashley Sienna.

Produced by Inverness, “Pretty In The Dark” was co-written amongst the three artists as a song intended to manifest both beauty and love. Although it has yet to premiere, the track’s outro has already captured the attention of the internet, growing more viral by the day as fans re-purpose the audio clip to claim the sound’s manifestation powers.

A moody-alt single that brings women to their highest power and men to their knees, “Pretty In The Dark” is a standout collaboration with a captivating hook and magnetic electro-pop beat that will make anyone want to listen on repeat.

MORE ABOUT ELLISE:
With multiple full-length projects already under her belt, Ellise has established herself in the industry as a young, powerhouse hitmaker, having all but trademarked her one-of-a-kind “dark pop” sound. Leading with her girly-meets-spooky aesthetic, Ellise’s artistry straddles the lines between all things eerie and sinister in contrast with her deep appreciation for the beautiful and feminine. Listening to Ellise’s music feels like holding a mirror to one’s innermost personal struggles; her lyrics offer a safe space for reflection and introspection through the perspectives of someone who has openly struggled with mental health and survived depression, anxiety, toxic relationships, and trauma.

Just as the art of music has gotten Ellise through the darkest times of her life, she pens her original songs with the hope of inspiring fans to become the most dynamic versions of themselves and to move forward confidently in life.

As a fully independent artist, Ellise continues to grow into an older, wiser, more self-assured version of herself, and her new music can be characterized as a rebirth, symbolizing this new personal chapter of immense life change.
