Jimmy Savile was a British entertainer and media personality who gained fame primarily through his work as a radio and television presenter, charity fundraiser, and disc jockey. Savile was known for hosting popular TV shows such as "Jim'll Fix It" and "Top of the Pops," where he showcased his eccentric personality and distinctive appearance, often wearing tracksuits and chunky gold jewelry. He was also recognized for his extensive charity work, particularly with institutions such as hospitals and children's homes.

However, after his death in 2011, numerous allegations emerged accusing Savile of sexual abuse and misconduct spanning several decades. The allegations came to light as part of Operation Yewtree, a police investigation launched in the wake of revelations about Savile's predatory behavior. Victims, including both children and adults, came forward with accounts of being sexually assaulted by Savile, often in the context of his charity work or during his time working for the BBC.

The scale of the abuse shocked the public and led to a widespread reassessment of Savile's legacy. Jimmy Savile ranks right up at the top of the list when you're talking about depraved predators and even though he was engaging in abuse at a huge rate, somehow he was able to continue to operate right under everyone's nose. Even when allegations were brought against him, they were squashed by his powerful friends.
