Story Transcript:

Nl: Bovenin de Rotterdamse Toren, waar de stad zich in alle richtingen uitstrekt onder een zee van lichtjes, zat Bram aan een tafeltje in het café.
En: At the top of de Rotterdamse Toren, where the city stretches out in all directions under a sea of lights, Bram sat at a table in the café.

Nl: Het was laat in de zomer, en de zon begon net onder te gaan, waardoor de lucht een warme, gouden gloed kreeg.
En: It was late in the summer, and the sun was just beginning to set, giving the sky a warm golden glow.

Nl: Naast hem zaten Sanne en Lars.
En: Next to him sat Sanne and Lars.

Nl: De sfeer was licht en vrolijk, maar onder de oppervlakte woelde er iets.

Nl: Hij haalde diep adem en keek Sanne aan.
En: He took a deep breath and looked at Sanne.

Nl: "Zullen we even praten?"
En: "Shall we talk for a moment?"

Nl: vroeg hij zacht.
En: he asked softly.

Nl: Lars knikte begripvol en liet hen alleen.
En: Lars nodded understandingly and left them alone.

Nl: Sanne en Bram zaten nu tegenover elkaar, de rest van het café vervaagde naar de achtergrond.
En: Sanne and Bram were now sitting across from each other, the rest of the café fading into the background.

Nl: "Sanne, ik weet dat dit moeilijk is," begon Bram aarzelend.
En: "Sanne, I know this is hard," Bram began hesitantly.

Nl: "Ik moet deze reis maken.
En: "I have to make this journey.

Nl: Maar ik wil dat je weet hoeveel je voor me betekent."
En: But I want you to know how much you mean to me."

Nl: Sanne keek naar haar mok koffie, toen weer naar Bram.
En: Sanne looked at her mug of coffee, then back at Bram.

Nl: "Ik begrijp het, Bram.
En: "I understand, Bram.

Nl: Echt, dat doe ik," zei ze voorzichtig.
En: Really, I do," she said cautiously.

Nl: "Maar ik wil ook eerlijk zijn.
En: "But I also want to be honest.

Nl: Ik voel iets voor jou."
En: I feel something for you."

Nl: Bram was even stil.
En: Bram was silent for a moment.

Nl: Het was het moment van de waarheid, het moment dat hij wist dat hij moest kiezen.
En: It was the moment of truth, the moment he knew he had to choose.

Nl: Zijn hart was vol van verwarring, liefde, en een drang naar avontuur.
En: His heart was full of confusion, love, and a longing for adventure.

En: Sanne nodded resolutely, even though there were tears in her eyes.

Nl: "Ga en vind wat je zoekt.
En: "Go and find what you're looking for.

Nl: Maar laten we contact houden, oké?
En: But let's keep in touch, okay?

Nl: Wie weet wat de toekomst brengt."
En: Who knows what the future holds."

Nl: Bram voelde een last van zijn schouders vallen.
En: Bram felt a weight lifted from his shoulders.

Nl: Hier, hoog boven de stad die hem had gevormd, vond hij de moed om eerlijk te zijn.
En: Here, high above the city that had shaped him, he found the courage to be honest.
