Devotional Message

God is a God of increase. He desires His children to grow, become fruitful, and make meaningful progress according to His purpose. But biblical increase is not simply about having more possessions; it is about becoming more fruitful, useful, mature, and impactful for God's glory.

God has a pathway to increase, and that pathway begins with faithfulness.

Many people desire the harvest but do not want the process. Yet God often begins increase with small things. Before David became king, he was faithful as a shepherd. Before Joseph governed Egypt, he demonstrated integrity in difficult places. Before the disciples became influential ministers, they learned to follow Jesus.

God develops capacity before He entrusts greater responsibility.

1. Increase Begins With God

Never forget the source of your increase. Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us that it is God who gives the ability to produce wealth and accomplish His purposes.

Your skills matter.

Your diligence matters.

Your wisdom matters.

But ultimately, God is the source.

Therefore, remain humble and give Him the glory for every advancement.

2. Increase Requires Faithfulness

Jesus taught that the person who is faithful in little can be trusted with much.

Do not despise small beginnings.

Be faithful with the opportunity you have.

Be faithful with your time.

Be faithful with your resources.

Be faithful with your relationships.

Be faithful in your service to God.

Small acts of faithfulness can prepare you for greater opportunities.

3. Increase Requires Wisdom

Increase without wisdom can become a burden. God wants you to grow not only in what you possess but also in wisdom and understanding.

Seek God's direction before making major decisions.

Learn continually.

Plan carefully.

Manage what God has already placed in your hands.

Good stewardship creates capacity for greater responsibility.

4. Increase Requires Obedience

Sometimes the next level of your life is connected to a simple instruction from God.

Abraham had to leave.

Noah had to build.

Peter had to launch the net.

The Israelites had to step forward.

Obedience often opens the door to experiences that cannot be entered through comfort and hesitation.

5. Increase Is Meant to Bless Others

God's increase in your life should never end with you.

He blessed Abraham so that he could become a blessing.

When God increases your resources, use them wisely.

When He increases your influence, use it to encourage others.

When He increases your knowledge, teach others.

When He increases your opportunities, create opportunities for others.

True increase becomes meaningful when it produces impact.

Do not compare your journey with another person's progress. God has a unique pathway for your life. Your responsibility is to remain faithful to the assignment He has given you.

Keep planting.

Keep learning.

Keep serving.

Keep obeying.

Keep trusting.

The increase may not happen overnight, but God can use every faithful step to prepare you for greater fruitfulness.

Today, Ask Yourself

Am I asking God only for increase, or am I also developing the faithfulness, wisdom, obedience, and character required to steward what He wants to place in my hands?

Prayer

Almighty Father, thank You for being the source of every good thing in my life. Teach me Your pathway to increase. Make me faithful in little things, wise in my decisions, diligent in my work, and obedient to Your Word. Increase my capacity before increasing my possessions, and help me use every blessing and opportunity to glorify You and bless others. Lead me into the increase You have prepared according to Your perfect will. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏
