Mount Everest is a truly awe-inspiring place to witness in person. The sheer enormity and majesty of it dwarfs almost everything else on the planet. And despite its remote location and extreme difficulty in climbing, it's become a tourist hotspot in recent decades as people spend a lot of money in order to get a brief visit to the top. So much so that there are pictures of a human traffic jam to make it to the summit.
