Why does future thinking matter?

These days, thinking often stops at gathering information about what comes next. But what really matters is why we think, and the sense of “this will probably happen” that lets us imagine both risks and possibilities.

That thinking deepens through conversation with others. Once a different point of view stays in your mind, it gets sorted while you sleep, and one day it rises up not as information, but as your own thought.

Next, it’s time to bring that thought out into the world. We put it into words, test it, try it, and experience it. But today’s organizational structures and short-term metrics cannot measure this kind of value. That’s why, through Future Session, we offer a place to put future thinking into words, evaluate it, and experience it.

Intuitions gather before they become numbers, and a picture begins to emerge of when, and in what form, they might become value. It becomes a chance to rethink the areas, and the shapes of organizations, we haven’t been able to see before.

Do you have a note or script of your own about the future? Even a short one, written by you.Why not begin at Future Session?
