Fright Bites - EP06 - The Third Floor Desk tells the chilling story of a night security guard working alone in an abandoned office block, where a single desk left behind on the third floor became the centre of a deeply unsettling paranormal experience. During a routine patrol just after 2 a.m., the lift — locked overnight — appeared to open on the third floor. When the guard investigated, he heard typing echoing across the empty offices, the unmistakable sound of someone working late.

Moments later, the typing stopped. A chair scraped. Yet the floor was empty. Returning to the security room, he watched in disbelief as the desk chair on the monitor slowly moved on its own before toppling over, followed by the camera feed collapsing into static. The following morning, a colleague explained that the building once housed a council department, and that an employee had reportedly died at his desk on the third floor after working late.

This Fright Bites episode explores a classic haunted workplace encounter involving residual activity, empty offices, and a presence that may never have left. If you’re drawn to true paranormal stories, haunted workplaces, mysterious phenomena, and scary stories rooted in real experiences, The Third Floor Desk delivers a chilling late-night encounter that unfolded under flickering security monitors.
