Sometimes we fight against God’s plan because our pride and need for control make us believe we have to figure everything out ourselves, leaving us exhausted. The Christian life has seasons of mountaintop moments and seasons where we feel stuck in the mud, but God is still working in every season. Instead of holding on tightly, we can surrender and trust that God has a purpose even when we cannot see it. We can pray, “God, please reveal to me what I am not seeing,” and “God, help me release what I am holding on to.”
