What is your idea of perfection? Whatever you answer is, I can tell you that is likely to be different than what your boss or spouse will say. There is no consistently agreed or articulated standard of perfection. And yet all our lives we keep chasing some vague standard of perfection we have in our minds and often fail at attaining that.

I used to take pride in believing that I am a perfectionist until with the help of my coach, I realized how much this was keeping me playing small. In coaching working women mums, I noticed a pattern – a disproportionately large number of women have these perfectionistic tendencies which are limiting them in similar way it affected me. It’s a common topic that comes up in my coaching.

In this episode, you will go through a quick assessment to know the extent of your perfectionistic tendencies. We will also talk about three ways perfectionism affects us negatively and limits our life experience. You will hear real coaching examples of how perfectionism is affecting my clients as well as my struggle with it.
