The moment we turn to God in repentance and believe the Bible says we are justified. That means that though we have sinned we are declared not guilty. We exchange our sins for Christ’s righteousness.
We can think of it as “just-as-if-i’d-never sinned”. Romans 5:1-11 tells of the great blessings that we receive once we are justified by faith in Christ.
