The Lounge gets REALLY influenced by this week's guest! Air Force Colonel (Ret.) and author Carla D. Bass joined the guys!

Author of the "Write to Influence," Carla has fine-tuned writing to the point where she helps people with their resumes, grant proposals, scholarship applications, and so many other examples! There are techniques she uses to make a person's writing become more effective and stand out from other writing.

Carla was VERY insightful! For Sam, when they talked about grammar and proper ways to use certain phrases & words was pretty much "geeking out" (yes... that IS very weird!)! She wasn't just here to talk about that, she also talked about her life in the military! How did she "get the itch" to join the military? Why intelligence? Were her parents supportive? Who influenced her while going up the ranks? She was not shy to talk about the trials and tests of being a woman, in the 1980s, in a position of an officer in the US military. She let it all out!

Little Matt asks where "Write to Influence" came out of, and if was it well received. Carla talks about that and the fact that OTHERS were asking her to teach them her process because of the results she was getting with her techniques! SO interesting how good writing can obtain things for you that might not have been available with sub-standard writing!

Carla was so fantastic! She was funny, inquisitive, sharp... THE TOTAL PACKAGE! She REALLY influenced the way we wrote the show notes, this week! Not too long-winded, but succinct and to the point!
