Lynette and Stefanie welcome their friend Dr. Bruce to this week’s second episode of For Crying Out Loud. Bruce first talks about his transition into addiction medicine over the years and the ladies ask him about medications like Ozempic to help with addictions. This leads Stefanie to talk about the shame that comes with being labeled an addict and how different people react when religion is linked with programs like AA. After that, Bruce goes over how he deals with addicts who have chronic pain and need specific medication. The ladies then ask Dr. Bruce about the bird flu everyones been hearing about, as well as how effective masks really are. Before they wrap, Bruce talks a little bit about a new trend in treating PTSD and depression with psychedelics.
