Story Transcript:

Ga: Lá álainn earraigh a bhí ann nuair a shocraigh Siobhán dul ar turas go Caisleán na Blarnan.
En: It was a beautiful spring day when Siobhán decided to take a trip to Blarney Castle.

Ga: Ag taisteal léi ná a mála draíochta lán le cúpla ceapaire agus buidéal uisce.
En: As she traveled, she carried her magical bag filled with a couple of sandwiches and a bottle of water.

Ga: Chomh luath agus a shroich sí an caisleán, chonaic sí turasóirí ó gach cearn den domhan.
En: As soon as she reached the castle, she saw tourists from all over the world.

Ga: Bhí siad go léir ag caint faoin gcloch cáiliúil - Cloch na Blarnan.
En: They were all talking about the famous stone - the Blarney Stone.

Ga: Dúradh go mbronnann sí cumas na cainte siamsaí agus na béalaíocht ar aon duine a phógann í.
En: It was said to give the gift of eloquence and persuasion to anyone who kissed it.

Ga: Le croí lán le háthas agus sceitimíní, d’éirigh Siobhán isteach sa scuaine fada.
En: With a heart full of joy and excitement, Siobhán joined the long queue.

Ga: Bhí daoine ag gáire agus ag magadh agus siad ag fanacht.
En: People were laughing and joking as they waited.

Ga: Faoi dheireadh, tháinig a seal siúd.
En: Finally, her turn came.

Ga: Chuir sí a mála in aice le balla an chaisleáin agus chrom sí síos chun póg a thabhairt don chloch luachmhar.
En: She put her bag next to the castle wall and leaned down to kiss the precious stone.

Ga: Ach ansin, tharla rud nach raibh súil ag éinne leis.
En: But then, something unexpected happened.

Ga: Agus í ag dul chun cinn i dtreo na cloiche, chlis Siobhán ar an gcarraig fhliuch.
En: As she moved towards the stone, Siobhán slipped on the wet rock.

Ga: Thit sí ar aghaidh, agus le teann iontais, phóg sí an Chloch na Blarnan.
En: She fell forward, and with a sudden amazement, she kissed the Blarney Stone.

Ga: Ní hamháin sin, ach thit sí chun tosaigh arís agus phóg sí an dara huair í!
En: Not only that, but she fell forward again and kissed it a second time!

Ga: Thosaigh na daoine timpeall uirthi ag gáire go croíúil.
En: The people around her started laughing heartily.

Ga: D'ardaigh an t-áthas agus an greann san aer, agus bhraith Siobhán an náire ag rith tríd a cuid fola.
En: Joy and laughter filled the air, and Siobhán felt the embarrassment running through her veins.

Ga: Bhí sí ag iarraidh imeacht ón radharc, ach ansin, tháinig rud iontach.
En: She wanted to disappear from sight, but then something wonderful happened.

Ga: Thosaigh sí féin ag gáire.
En: She began to laugh herself.

Ga: Thuig Siobhán go raibh scéal grinn aici anois le hinsint, agus d'fhoghlaim sí nach bhfuil an rud is measa ná titim, ach gan éirí aníos arís.
En: Siobhán realized she now had a funny story to tell, and she learned that the worst thing is falling, but not getting back up again.

Ga: Is minic a inseoidh Siobhán scéal an lae úd ag Caisleán na Blarnan, agus cuireann sí gáire ar aghaidh gach éisteoir.
En: Siobhán often tells the story of that day at Blarney Castle, and she makes everyone listening laugh.

Ga: Tá a fhios aici anois nach mbíonn i ngach timpiste ach tús le eachtra nua.
En: She now knows that not every mishap is but the beginning of a new adventure.

Ga: Agus is cinnte go bhfuil caint siamsaí aici, fiú mura bhfuil sé ag teacht go díreach ón gcloch!
En: And she is sure that she has a way with words, even if it's not coming directly from the stone!
