When Christopher Jedbury, Jr. inadvertently finds himself in a precarious predicament, he is thrust into a whirlwind marriage with a woman he has never met. After his father discovers the truth, Christopher is banished to India to work as a lowly clerk in his father’s trading company. Things take a complicated turn when he meets the enchanting Dora and enlists the help of his lawyer friend to locate his elusive bride and seek a divorce.
