The one-hour dramatic comedy “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” is the #1 new scripted cable series for Black people 18-49 and 25-54. In the midseason finale episode #311 “Unlock It” premiering Wednesday, August 18 at 9 PM ET/PT– Andi has a sudden change of heart after another one of Gary’s antics strikes home.
The one-hour drama follows a group of single Black females as they navigate their “complicated love life,” careers and friendship through the ups-and-downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals. Tyler Perry takes viewers on an exhilarating ride of emotions and gut-busting predicaments that will test the ladies’ long-standing friendship. This band of women, intertwined with their newfound relationships, must navigate this new-age dating scene as they continue to search for love in their 30’s. The talented ensemble cast of “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” includes KJ Smith, Mignon, Ebony Obsidian, Novi Brown, Crystal Hayslett, Chido Nwokocha, Devale Ellis, Brian Jordan Jr., Kevin Walton, Anthony Dalton and Trinity Whiteside.

Crystal Renee’ Hayslett plays “Fatima.” ‘Fatima’ is a young woman who works as a paralegal at a powerful, law firm with ‘Andi’ played by KJ Smith. ‘Fatima’ has been hurt and keeps her heart guarded.
In 2011, Oscar award-winning director Matthew Cherry, gave Hayslett her first speaking role in his short film, “This Time.” She also made appearances on BET’s “The Game” and “Stomp The Yard 2.” Later, with the encouragement from a close friend, Hayslett accepted a position as a Production Assistant at Tyler Perry Studios. By 2013, she worked her way up in the costume design department and landed a job as Tyler Perry’s personal stylist. During this time, she was still auditioning for roles and started to receive a few call-backs, which led her to a crossroads. She was uncertain if she should continue her fashion career or take a chance on acting. Eventually, Hayslett was able to convince Tyler Perry to view her audition videos. He was impressed by her talent and offered her a small role on his hit show, “Tyler Perry’s Sistas.”
