Less than 10% of eligible residents have rolled up their sleeves for updated vaccines. Only about 144,000 Chicagoans have received an updated COVID-19 booster as of Oct. 5, according to the latest numbers from the city’s public health department — that’s less than 10% of the nearly 2 million people eligible for the reformulated vaccine that was designed to protect against Omicron subvariants.
